You can have either a card or card less membership so there are two ways to join:
Card less membership – simply register online and select the “card less” membership option when prompted.
Card membership - Pickup a card at a Red Robin. There are more than 500 Red Robin Locations. Call first to make sure they are a participating location. Then register the card online. Select the “card” option when prompted.
I prefer the card less option rather than carrying a wallet full of cards. When dining, all you have to do is give the server your registered phone number or email address to obtain rewards and track your purchases.
